Tim was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Shortly after graduating from Ball State University with a Bachelors degree in Photojournalism, he took on his first opportunity to work at a portrait studio in Cincinnati, OH. Currently, he is based out of Harrisburg, PA.
Portrait photography comes easy to Tim as he considers himself a "people" person. He believes that success in this type of photography lends itself to being able to work in close relationship with people. Successfully capturing their true personalities and genuine expressions is a fulfilling experience. Technical experience can be learned, being able to interact with people on a personal level is a trait not everyone has.
Tim's visual interests go beyond every day work as he is influenced by the landscapes of Central PA and he often has a camera at the ready in order to record an interesting scene or extraordinary lighting.
Abstract art is another outlet of artistic expression that Tim enjoys. He paints the majority of the backgrounds he uses in his portrait work.
When he doesn't have a camera in hand, you can find him running long distance, cycling, and spending quality time with his little girl, perhaps at a local coffee shop.
